The MCPEI Employment Services team would like to share this video which was launched recently in partnership with the North Shore Micmac District Council.  The video was the final part of a national industry leading training program delivered in NB, NS and PEI.  The training consisted of 33 weeks of fisheries essential skills training, vessel & gear maintenance and Business Planning.

The Mi’kmaq Confederacy Employment Services operates under a contribution agreement between the Mi’kmaq Confederacy of PEI and the federal department of Human Resources and Skills Development Canada.  The Mi’kmaq Confederacy Employment Services through the contribution agreement provides and administers employment based programs and services to all Aboriginal people living on PEI including status and non status First Nations, Métis and Inuit Peoples living on and off reserve across the entire province.

As a client-focused program, emphasis is on providing the supports clients need to return to 
work, and or training. 
The Mi’kmaq Confederacy of PEI Employment Services (MCPEI ES) program continues to partner with several key players including, valuable employers, training institutions and government departments to develop and roll out meaningful initiatives that are interesting, age related and that offers hands on career exploration experiences.
Services are delivered in both urban and rural locations. Service sites are on Lennox Island and Abegweit First Nations, Charlottetown, Summerside
