Betty joined the Employment Services team of the Mi’kmaq Confederacy of PEI in 2008. She has held positions in government, non-profit organizations and private industry. Betty’s strong belief in life-long learning and her dedication to assisting individuals and communities to realize their potential is the foundation of the approach that she has employed throughout her education and work experience. She has gained valuable experience from developing programs and initiatives for youth and adults within rural and urban communities, while simultaneously creating the networks necessary to support them. Betty combines her education, a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Prince Edward Island, and a Child and Youth Worker Diploma from Holland College, and her experience from employment and volunteer endeavours, to create plans with individuals that will have them realize their goals. Betty enjoys the opportunity to work with people to vision and map out the steps for employment and education plans and looks forward to continuing to serve clients of the Mi’kmaq Confederacy.
