Tyler Murphy

Tyler grew up in Summerside, PEI and Graduated from Three Oaks High School before attending Holland College where he received a diploma in the Child and Youth Worker program. During his program Tyler did a three month placement in the Eastern School District working at Birchwood Intermediate School. Upon Completion of the program Tyler worked in Provincial Government as a youth worker in many different settings. Tyler’s work experience includes, working in small options group homes, one on one work with Child and Family Services, being an adult support person for the Youth in Care Network and extensive work within a group home setting. 
Tyler has experience working within the schools around PEI substituting for one year as a youth worker, education assistant and teacher. Tyler also has experience working in a summer camp setting for Pathways Summer Camp and Community Wellness Program in Summerside.  While working in a group home for youth Tyler has also gained experience working with intellectually disabled adults in a group home setting for Queens County Residential Services.
                Tyler enjoys being active and has a passion for sports. Tyler plays hockey in the winter time and is an avid golfer in the summer. Tyler has experience coaching U- 16 boy’s soccer and Bantam AAA boys’ hockey. Tyler hopes to continue to volunteer his time to help young people enjoy the sports that have given him so much joy over the years. Tyler lives in Charlottetown with his girlfriend Michelle and his bulldog Jackson.
